PROGRAM CURRICULUM
The CERTIFIED MEDICAL PLANNER™ charter designation program is a live - instructor led - online asynchronous educational program. It is designed to increase your health industry management and business knowledge - affinity for physician clients and financial advisory consultative practices - in an honest and ethical fashion - regardless of compensation model. Fiduciary capacity is implicit. We provide 500 hours of education during a 12 month period that comprises four semesters with a customized curriculum based on prior education and experience. Adult learners should plan on spending 5-10 hours per week on study activities; both core and elective.
The program may be crashed under special situations and/or delivered onground upon request.

In the CERTIFIED MEDICAL PLANNER™ program, you will learn about the history of managed care and contemporaneous new medical management issues, healthcare administration and economic concepts, procedures and policies like: the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); the Patriot Act (PA) for hospitals, the Occupational and Safety Health Administration Act (OSHA); human resource management, process improvement, and employee outsourcing; medical information technology and healthcare IT; office expense modeling, fixed rate capitation and traditional reimbursement; Medicare, Medigap, Medicaid and private healthcare insurance econometrics; Activity Based Medical Costing and Management (ABMCM); the new art and science of medical practice valuations and business appraisals; professional physician relations and non-compete agreements; office sales and contracting methods; medical union activities; medical compliance matters; and physician HMO, IPA, MCO and PPO third party intermediaries.
